Born into a family with strong entrepreneurial roots, Prince Gbadebo inherited a legacy from his father, who was a key figure in Nigeria’s beverage industry. His father was a major distributor of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, partnering with leading Nigerian bottlers and breweries.

Following in his father’s footsteps, Prince Gbadebo initially made his mark as a contractor in Nigeria, contributing to the country’s infrastructure development. Seeking new opportunities, he moved to Germany, where he established Omoba Import African Drinks over two decades ago.

Omoba Import African Drinks is best known for distributing Nigerian beers and its flagship product, Omoba (Prince) Palm Wine, which has brought a cherished Nigerian tradition to European markets. Celebrating 24 years of success, the brand stands as a vibrant symbol of African culture in Europe.

In addition to his business pursuits, Prince Gbadebo is a dedicated philanthropist. As a patron of the Lagos-based Denny Social Welfare Hub (DSWHUB), he has championed initiatives in education, healthcare and economic empowerment, with a focus on supporting women and youth. His philanthropic work has touched many lives in both Nigeria and Germany.

His legacy of success continues through his family, as his son, Prince Adewale Gbadebo, carries on the family’s entrepreneurial tradition with Omoba Ventures in South Germany, expanding the business his father built.

As we celebrate Prince Adeniran Gbadebo’s 70th birthday, we honour a man whose life’s work has been devoted to uplifting others through business, cultural exchange and philanthropy.
