The leadership of the Nigerians in Diaspora Organization Europe (NIDOE) has commenced its tour of Nigerian diplomatic missions across Europe. The Central Executive Council (CEC) of the body, led by Hon. Kenneth Gbandi, kicked off the tour on 17 January when it paid a courtesy call on Nigeria’s Ambassador to Germany, H.E. The Gbandi-led delegation included Kenneth Alaekwe (President, NIDO Germany), Engr. Sebastian Udeaja (BOT member, NIDO Germany), and Adeyemi Ademuyiwa (Financial Secretary, NIDOE).

Ambassador Tuggar, accompanied by Ambassador Mobolaji Sakirat Ogundero, the Deputy Head of Mission, and Alhaji Mohammed B.M. Anka, Minister Information and Culture, held a closed door meeting with the NIDO functionaries.

The leadership of NIDO Europe used the opportunity to present a brief report on the activities and achievements of the organization under the current Central Executive Council in its first year in office.

The next stop of the NIDOE tour is the Nigerian High Commission London, UK. Before the end of the first quarter of 2018, the organization is scheduled to have visited 9 European countries.

The mandate of NIDOE is to promote the welfare of the Nigerian Diaspora and pursue national development through advocacy, networking, partnerships, and bilateral cooperation.
