HE Dr Uzoma Emenike, outgoing Nigerian Ambassador to Ireland and the country’s first female ambassador to the US, and HE Baba Madugu, Nigerian Ambassador to Switzerland, will also participate at the panel discussions.

Among the specific issues to be discussed are how to prepare a bill that is acceptable to lawmakers and other stakeholders and enlist the support of the national assembly for its passage.

Hon. Barr. Festus Okoye, INEC National Commissioner and chairman of Voter Education and Publicity Committee, is special guest at the conference.

Nigerians abroad have been clamouring for Diaspora voting rights for many years and the Saturday conference is a major move to give the clamour a boost and enlist the support of key stakeholders in Nigeria for its actualisation.
