L.A.X. (real name Damilola Afolabi), one of Nigeria’s Afrobeats rising stars, will perform in Berlin on 18 October. Powered by Kings & Friends Promotion, the show will take place at the famous Surprise Club.

Since becoming the first artist to sign to WizKid’s label Star Boy in 2013, L.A.X has been putting in work a steady stream of songs that make it impossible not to move your waist listening to his music.

L.A.X. was born in 1993 in Lagos. He had his secondary school education at Nigerian Turkish International College, Lagos, where he formed a music group called Flyboiz, releasing a single titled “Busy Body”.

With the intention of furthering his education, L.A.X left the group to study in the United Kingdom where he started recorded songs and shot few videos.

In 2012, L.A.X released his first major single “Jaye” which featured vocal appearance from Ice Prince. Upon his return to Nigeria, he met Wizkid through his stylist and went on to sign his first professional recording contract with Starboy Entertainment in 2013.

On 20 August 2013, L.A.X teamed up with Wizkid to release his first single “Caro” under the imprint which gained massive airplay and further ushered him into the Nigerian music industry with positive responses from music critics. He then went ahead to release his debut album “RASAKING” in 2018 featuring various artistes such as Davido, Duncan Mighty and Yemi Alade.

“After the successful and eventful 2baba alias 2 Face Idibia live in Berlin, we wasted no time to bring the next treat to the city,” said Jossy Sunmola Azeez of Kings & Friends Promotion. “Come out and party with us!”
