Association of Anambra indigenes launches in Germany

An association of indigenes of Anambra State of Nigeria will be launched in the city of Munich of 14 September. The socio-cultural group seeks to pool the efforts of its members for the development of their home state.

Among dignitaries expected at the event, at which the Assembly of Anambra State Indigenes e.V. Bayern will be officially inaugurated, include His Excellency Chief Willy Obiano, Governor of Anambra State, who is the Special Guest of Honour, while the occasion will be chaired by Chief Engr. Keney Obi Onukelobi, Aguiyi 1 Na Okija.

The inauguration ceremony will also feature fundraising for the procurement of educational materials for schools in Anambra and the presentation of Grand Patron’s certificates to the visiting royal fathers and special guests.

A display of the rich culture of Anambra people, to be headlined by Prince Chijioke Mba & His Dance Band, will feature the King’s special music performances (igba Eze), masquerades, traditional Igbo dishes, attires and women dancers.

Other VIPs expected from Nigeria at the event are HRM Igwe Sir Ralph Obumneme Ekpeh, Okpala Anakana, Ukabia IV, HRH Igwe Fidelis Nnamdi Oruche, Okife II, Obi Of Ozubulu, Prince Engr Arthur Ikpechukwu Eze, OFR, Ozoigbondu, and Chief Cletus Ibeto, Omekannaia.
