Bazaar Berlin 2026: African Crafts, Fashion and Flavours Take Centre Stage

From Ghanaian chocolate and traditional African clothing to Tunisian handicrafts and Madagascan spices, the annual Berlin sales fair offers visitors a journey through the continent’s rich cultural and creative diversity.

Berlin’s annual Bazaar Berlin returns from 4 to 8 November, bringing together more than 500 exhibitors from around 60 countries for five days of international craftsmanship, design, fashion, natural products and fair trade. The 64th edition of the long-running sales fair will take place at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds under the motto “Discover and Enjoy the World”.

African craftsmanship, fashion and culinary traditions will be among the attractions at the Bazaar Berlin 2026 which brings together more than 500 exhibitors from around 60 countries, offering visitors an opportunity to discover and purchase distinctive products from across the world.

For African visitors and lovers of the continent’s cultures, the main attraction will be Living Africa, a dedicated section of the fair located in Hall 11.2. It showcases the diversity of African products and traditions, including Tunisian handicrafts, traditional clothing and chocolate from Ghana, as well as spices and tea from Madagascar.

Ghana will also be represented at a national group stand, providing another opportunity to discover products from the West African country. Such country stands bring exhibitors together, allowing visitors to explore a country’s offerings in one place.

The African presence at Bazaar Berlin highlights the continent’s creative industries, artisanal skills and distinctive products in an international marketplace. From clothing and handicrafts to food and spices, the fair offers African producers and traders a platform to present their goods to Berlin’s diverse public.

Beyond the African section, visitors can explore international fashion, jewellery, accessories, natural cosmetics, organic foods and fair-trade products. This year’s fair is expanding into Hall 17, while Mineralis, a sales exhibition dedicated to minerals, gemstones and fossils, joins the event for the first time.

The programme extends beyond shopping. Fashion shows on 6 and 7 November will feature selected designs from exhibitors, including fair-trade fashion. On 8 November, international dance performances will bring further cultural colour to the fair. Visitors can also take part in ten creative workshops, while the FAIRES BERLIN exhibition highlights products from 20 Berlin-based businesses demonstrating different approaches to fairer trade.

Bazaar Berlin’s commitment to ethical and sustainable production dates back to 1962, when the event began under the name Partner des Fortschritts. Last year, approximately 35,000 people visited the fair.

For Africans in Berlin and the surrounding region, the event offers an opportunity to discover products from across the continent, support African creativity and share in a celebration of international cultures.
