Kenneth Gbandi honoured in Dublin
The president of the Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation Germany, Kenneth Gbandi, was honoured recently in the Irish capital, Dublin, where he received the Best International Creative Director 2016 prize at the International Runway Achievers/Recognition Awards.

Organised by Sunrise Foundation, the event also featured a beauty pageant whose proceeds will be donated to charity projects in Nigeria.
Gbandi, who is also the director of the Hamburg-based Heritage Network and publisher of the society magazine African Heritage, thanked the organisation for honouring him and pledged his support for its noble objective of providing a platform for the Diaspora to give back to the less fortunate in Nigeria.
Barrister Efosa Ogieriakhi is 50!

Berlin-based practising lawyer Efosa Ogieriakhi recently celebrated his 50th birthday in the German capital city.
The former legal adviser to Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation Europe (NIDOE) and one-time vice-chairman of its German chapter treated friends and family members from across Europe to a memorable evening of soulful music and plenty of food and drink to mark the milestone.

African Catholic Women in Germany meet

For the first time, members of the African Catholic Women Organisation from all over Germany gathered in Frankfurt am Main on 16 April for a meeting. The event marked the formal inauguration of the group, which was formed to strengthen unity among the female faithful as well as create a forum to share experiences.
