Journalists from countries in crisis or war can apply to stay in Berlin for three months.
Reporters Without Borders Germany, in cooperation with taz Panter Foundation, will host three journalists in 2021.
The Rest and Refuge Scholarship will provide travel, an apartment, a living stipend and transportation in Berlin.
“We offer travel expenses, a decent apartment, a monthly stipend of €1000 and free transportation in Berlin for three months. Participants may completely withdraw from public life, use the time for writing and taking walks through town, or they may want to explore political and cultural life in Berlin. We will help the participants with everything,” the call for application reads.

Participants must be able to communicate in basic English or German. They must have the intention to return to their country after the fellowship.
The deadline to apply is 6 November 2020.
