ANNOUNCEMENT

Afrika-Verein der deutschen Wirtschaft e.V. together with the German Health Alliance cordially invite you to the:

9th German-African Healthcare Forum
“Building Healthcare Resilience in Africa: Trends and Partnerships”
on June 19, 2024, Hilton Frankfurt City Centre, Hochstrasse 4, 60313 Frankfurt am Main

Sustainable healthcare is an essential prerequisite for a sustainable global future. This year’s Healthcare Forum aims to highlight this crucial issue. Many African countries continue to face challenges in adequately responding to their medical needs. Building high-quality healthcare systems requires proactive action by policymakers and economic stakeholders. To develop a resilient and secure healthcare system, African countries need global commitments and mutual support through strong partnerships and robust emergency response mechanisms in the healthcare sector.

The conference will address the following key topics:

•    Global partnership (Do we need healthcare partnerships?)
•    Healthcare infrastructure
•    Skills development & workforce in the medical sector
•    E-Health (AI; E-Mobility)
•    Pharma (Drugs, Biotechnology & Generic drugs)
•    Strengthening Local Value chains
•    Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs)
•    Women’s health
•    Financing healthcare projects (Regulatory framework & implementation)

The gathering is considered one of the most important European-African forums in the healthcare sector. We are bringing together more than 200 participants from Europe and Africa and are once again welcoming numerous high-ranking African delegations—this year from Ghana, Libya, Mali, Tanzania, and Chad. Additionally, ministerial representatives from Benin, Burundi, Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea, Morocco, and Namibia will be in attendance.

We kindly ask you to register for the event by Monday, June 17, 2024. A brief message adressed to rambach@afrikaverein.de is sufficient for this purpose. Further information can be found on the event website
