Bazaar Berlin: Five-Day Global Journey of Culture, Craft and Cuisine

Berlin – From 5 to 9 November 2025, the Messe Berlin exhibition halls will transform into a vibrant global marketplace, welcoming approximately 500 exhibitors from over 60 countries. Among the diverse offerings, the “Living Africa” segment in Hall 11.2 stands out, showcasing the rich cultural tapestry of the African continent.

Now in its 63rd edition, the annual event promises visitors a five-day journey “to discover and enjoy the world,” celebrating global craftsmanship, culture and cuisine.

As autumn brings shorter days and gray skies, the Bazaar Berlin offers a festive escape. Guests can explore an extraordinary range of handcrafted goods, jewelry, design pieces, home décor, natural products, fair-trade items and culinary delights rarely found elsewhere. Highlights include Living Africa, showcasing artisans from Algeria, Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar, Morocco, Senegal, South Africa and Tunisia, and Art & Style, featuring unique fashion, statement jewelry and stylish accessories.

The Bazaar is more than a shopping destination: interactive experiences abound. Dance troupes from the Karneval der Kulturen — including Colombia Carnaval, MuAk Berlin and Berlin Sri — bring rhythm, colour and energy to the halls. Visitors can join workshops on traditional Korean fan dancing, Sogo hand drumming or crafts ranging from batik and origami to jewelry-making. Children can participate in mini-workshops creating small decorative items and keepsakes.

Sumaq Qar, a women-led cooperative from Peru, returns for the first time, offering textiles, accessories and stuffed animals crafted using traditional techniques. Other exhibitors, such as Georgian designer Dé Aure and Estonia’s Tallinna Kunstkeraamika Tehas, present meticulously handmade jewelry and ceramics, offering stories and cultural insight behind every piece.

Tickets are available online, with options ranging from single-day passes to family and “Best-Friends” tickets. Special Happy Hour tickets provide discounted late-afternoon access on November 5 and 6.

The Bazaar Berlin, Germany’s longest-running international craft and design fair, has combined commerce with social responsibility since 1962. Today, it continues to champion ethical production, sustainability, and fair trade, while offering visitors a festive, culturally immersive experience—an unmissable highlight of Berlin’s autumn calendar.
