
LEAD AFRICA INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY 2022 – A capacity development program for young Africans and people of African descent from around the world
A week-long training program aimed at bringing together 15 – 30 emerging leaders to develop skills for combating challenges inhibiting development in Africa and African Diaspora.
The program’s objective is to develop the theory and practice of Sustainable Development in Africa and its Diaspora that cover thematic areas which address leadership challenges in key sustainable development issues captured in the UN Sustainable Development Goals, including: ending poverty and hunger, improving health and education, making cities more sustainable, combating climate change and promoting cultural diversity and intercultural understanding.
In addition to theoretical analysis of the concept of sustainable development, Lead Africa Academy will expose practices in Germany and Europe through insights gained from visits to German institutions and international development agencies based in Germany.

The first issue of the bimonthly magazine appeared on the newsstands on 15 February 1998. The African Courier is a communication forum for European-African political, economic and cultural exchanges, and a voice for Africa in Europe.
