THE AFRICAN COURIER. Reporting Africa and its Diaspora! The African Courier is an international magazine published in Germany to report on Africa and the Diaspora African experience. The first issue of the bimonthly magazine appeared on the newsstands on 15 February 1998. The African Courier is a communication forum for European-African political, economic and cultural exchanges, and a voice for Africa in Europe.
Animal Friends Academy is not just an app; it is the flowering of a deeply personal journey that began in a loving Nigerian home and now reaches into the hands of children and youths across the world. At the centre of this story is Emmanuel Fadipe, a man whose life has been molded by the quiet strength and relentless sacrifices of his parents. They gave everything they had to ensure he received not only a strong academic foundation but also a living relationship with Jesus Christ. They planted in him the seeds of discipline, compassion and purpose. They taught him, by example, that true greatness lies in serving others and honouring God in all things.

As a child, Emmanuel Fadipe did not grow up surrounded by abundance, but he grew up rich in love, in truth and in the wisdom that comes from tending to life. From an early age, he and his siblings were taught how to care for animals such as rabbits, goats, turkeys and hens. These small creatures became his earliest teachers, instilling in him responsibility, empathy and the rhythm of nurturing. What began as a chore became a calling. His parents did not see animals as just livestock. They saw them as part of God’s creation, worthy of care and understanding. That philosophy shaped Emmanuel’s view of the world.
His academic path took shape with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology from Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria. He pursued a Master of Science in Environmental Protection and Agricultural Food Production at the University of Hohenheim in Germany. He is also completing a second Master of Science in Project Management at the Graves School of Business and Management at Morgan State University in the United States. His doctoral studies continue at the Department of Infectious Diseases and Environmental Hygiene in Livestock at the University of Hohenheim, where he expands his expertise in animal welfare, zoonotic diseases and sustainable development. Through it all, his vision has remained clear, which is to serve the world, especially its youngest minds, with knowledge that uplifts, heals and transforms.
Animal Friends Academy was born from this vision. It is a completely free offline accessible educational platform that delivers a 60-day curriculum tailored for children and youths aged 7 to 17. It is also a free download available across the world, created intentionally to bridge educational and technological gaps so that no child or youth is left behind due to geography, income, race, religion, language or background. It welcomes users from all nations, races, and religions without bias or discrimination, ensuring that learning remains a shared opportunity for everyone.
With its vibrant illustrations, interactive storytelling, leadership lessons, and engaging scientific content focused on animal biology, hygiene, nutrition, environmental care and ethical animal treatment, the app reaches learners in urban centres, remote villages and everywhere in between. Whether a child is holding a smartphone in a city apartment or sitting under a tree in a rural community, they will find in Animal Friends Academy a guide, a friend and a teacher.
The app contains four comprehensive modules that cover these vital subjects in depth. Each module concludes with a certificate of excellence, which rewards commitment and builds a sense of accomplishment. The app goes beyond science and delivers messages about empathy, compassion, and leadership, nurturing the heart as much as the mind.
Its global relevance is one of its strengths. In coastal regions, children learn about marine life and water conservation. In agricultural areas, they study livestock health and sustainability. In forested communities, biodiversity and habitat protection are emphasized. The content is respectful of cultural differences and inclusive of all races, religions and belief systems. It ensures that no child feels left out, regardless of location or background.
Animal Friends Academy also aligns powerfully with all of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. However, ten major SDGs are especially fulfilled through this platform:

Despite glowing feedback and recognition, Emmanuel Fadipe does not measure success by praise or popularity. His measure is transformation whether a child becomes kinder, whether a youth discovers purpose and whether the world grows more compassionate through the simple truths shared in the app. Animal Friends Academy is his humble offering to the world, crafted not to impress but to impact.
At its core, this project is a gift back to God. It is Emmanuel’s way of honouring the sacrifices of his parents who gave their best so he could shine and fulfil the calling to be a light in the world. He dreams of a generation of children and youths who will not only care for animals but grow into protectors of the earth, lovers of life and responsible leaders.
He is also the founder of Emmanuel Fadipe Foundation, a humanitarian organization, he established to cater to the needs of the people, including the younger generation.
When the time comes for him to leave this earth, his only desire is to meet Jesus with peace in his heart, knowing that he gave everything: his knowledge, his love his energy to help build a better, kinder and more spiritually grounded world.
