Coronavirus: Ghanaians Abroad hold emergency global meeting on pandemic

Ghanaians in the diaspora will hold a global conference meeting by phone on Saturday (28 March) to discuss how their communities are affected by the ongoing coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

Titled Corona Protection International (Disapora) Conference Call, the meeting offers an opportunity for Ghanaian communities in the different countries to share experiences and discuss how best to protect their members.

A press statement issued about the meeting reads:

“Dear All,
Please be informed that international (Diaspora) Conference Call has been scheduled on coming Saturday, 28th March, 2020 @ 9pm (CET), 8pm (GMT) to discuss sustainable measures to deal with Coronavirus within Ghanaian community in Diaspora.
A very serious situation at present for those of us outside.

The following points will be discussed:
1) Reports from various diaspora countries (Italy, US, Spain, Germany, France, UK, Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, Canada, South Africa etc… )
2) Strategies to assist the vulnerable in the community: (Food Storage, Medications and PPE)
4) Diasporans locked up in Ghana and other countries, way OUT
5) Medical advice by health professionals:
