THE AFRICAN COURIER. Reporting Africa and its Diaspora! The African Courier is an international magazine published in Germany to report on Africa and the Diaspora African experience. The first issue of the bimonthly magazine appeared on the newsstands on 15 February 1998. The African Courier is a communication forum for European-African political, economic and cultural exchanges, and a voice for Africa in Europe.
On 26 March, Brussels Airlines commenced the summer season with new destinations and higher flight frequencies. Highlights of the schedule are the launch of new routes and the growth of the European network with new African destinations.
Abidjan will be served daily during the summer season, instead of 6 times weekly. Accra’s frequency increases from 4 to 5 flights a week.
Brussels Airlines’ increase of its flight frequency to both cities testifies to Ghana’s and Côte d’Ivoire’s status as fast-growing African countries, both economically and in terms of tourism.
Altogether the Belgian carrier, a Star Alliance member, now flies to 18 destinations in Africa.
Brussels Airlines’ schedule allows for smooth connections to many of its European destinations and the United States, including to the UK, Denmark, Germany, France and New York, via Brussels Airport.
Brussels Airlines, a member of Lufthansa Group, has more than 3.500 employees and 51 aircraft operating some 300 flights daily, connecting the Capital of Europe to over 100 premium European and African destinations and New York JFK, Washington D.C. and Toronto.
On long haul flights, the airline operates an all new Business Class with full flatbeds and state of the art in-flight entertainment, and a brand new Economy class with ergonomic seats and individual in-flight entertainment touch screens.
Brussels Airlines’ long-haul flights are operated with Airbus A330-200 and A330-300 aircraft.
