TAP Air Portugal includes Banjul, Gambia, in route network

TAP Air Portugal will begin offering flights to Banjul through its hub in Lisbon on 26 October. According to a press statement released on Wednesday, the Gambian capital city is one of the new routes to be introduced by the Portuguese airline.

TAP Air Portugal will leave Lisbon on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 20.55 hrs and land at 01.10 hrs in Banjul. The return flights are on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays starting at 02:05hrs in Banjul and arrive at 6:05hrs in Lisbon, from where passengers can connect to other destinations in Europe flown by the Portuguese national carrier.

After adding Banjul to its route network in October, the airline will be flying to 18 African destinations in 12 countries altogether: Luanda in Angola, Maputo in Mozambique, São Tomé on São Tomé and Príncipe, Bissau in Guinea-Bissau, Praia, Sal, São Vicente and Boa Vista in Cape Verde, Marrakech, Casablanca, Tangier and Fes in Morocco, Dakar in Senegal, Abidjan in the Ivory Coast, Accra in Ghana, Lomé in Togo and Conakry in Guinea.
