German-African Business Forum NRW holds in February – Register now!

Africa is a huge market of the future! More and more German companies are becoming active in African countries. But how do they acquire the necessary know-how to successfully do business in the African market? That is exactly the focus of the 7th German-African Business Forum NRW, holding virtually on 16 February 2022.

Under the motto “Africa Business 2022: global – digital – innovative – sustainable”, the annual event will focus on the following current topics:

  • Win-Win with German Technology in Africa
  • Sustainability as a success factor – value and supply chains, sustainable procurement
  • Digital Business Stories
  • Green and Smart Business for Success in Africa

Numerous successful companies – small and medium-sized enterprises from all over Germany – will give insights into their African business and thus provide valuable information to those planning to the continent. Proven Africa experts will also be available to provide you with information and advice, the organisers say.

Minister Dr Stephan Holthoff-Pförtner and State Secretary Christoph Dammermann from the State of North Rhine-Westphalia will discuss with representatives of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) about their Africa strategies and the current topics of hydrogen, digitalisation and sustainable business. Steven Pope from Deutsche Post DHL Group will present the GoTrade programme, which greatly facilitates international trade with African SMEs, as part of the keynote addresses.

Since 2010, the German-African Business Forum NRW has developed into an excellent networking platform for presenting successful business solutions for Africa and making new contacts! It is not for nothing that the Ghanaian President, H.E. Nana Akufo-Addo, called the Forum “the address par excellence for economic dialogue between German and African companies”.

The Forum, which normally takes place in Dortmund, is organised by Auslandsgesellschaft.de e.V. in collaboration with the network of the IHKs (chambers of industry and commerce) in North Rhine-Westphalia and many other renowned partners on behalf of the state of NRW, which sponsors the event.
