Nigeria Cultural Festival and Awards Day to hold in Munich

The Nigerian community in the German state of Bavaria will recognise the professional and other achievements of outstanding Nigerians living in the country on 20 July.

The event, christened ‘Nigeria Cultural Feast and Meritorious Awards 2019’ and which takes place in Munich, will highlight the contributions of the Nigerian Diaspora to homeland development and their countries of residence, according to organisers, the Nigeria Community Bayern Germany (NCBG) e.V.

NCBG Awards 2019 will be given in the following categories: Leadership & Community Service; Music, Arts & Culture (including Writers/Journalists); Academics; Entrepreneurs & Inventors; and Associates (“consistent, committed and dedicated Nigerians piloting the affairs of the community”).

Prince Chijioke Mbah and his band will entertain at the event at which artwork and products made by Nigerians will be exhibited.

Dignitaries expected to grace the NCBG Awards 2019 include His Excellency Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, Nigeria’s ambassador to Germany, who is the Special Guest of Honour, and Alhaji Suleiman Daudu Umar, Consul General in Frankfurt, as the Chief Host.

NCBG is inviting Nigerians to turn out for the event at which two return flight tickets to Nigeria will be raffled.
