How to benefit from MoneyGram sponsorship in Germany

MoneyGram constantly strives to make money transfers to Africa as affordable, fast, secure and easy as possible. Not only does the world’s second largest provider of money transfers offer its customers a great service, but MoneyGram also supports the African community in Germany by sponsoring events like  the recent African Village Festival in Frankfurt.

Furthermore, MoneyGram’s interest in interacting with migrant communities is reflected in the recently launched initiative  “Integration.Mitmachen“, which is a support program for integration projects.  MoneyGram has also invited the African diaspora to participate in the afrika! Community Award and/or in a video competition.

afrika! Community Award

Until the end of August, all African associations, companies and individuals of the African diaspora who sustainably support their community, are invited to take part in the afrika! Communty Award! Eight winners from four categories will receive a MoneyGram sponsorship totalling 3,000 €.

By sponsoring the afrika! Community Award, MoneyGram aims to support African projects and associations involved in the fields of sport, culture or education. Registration and more information on: www.afrikaportal.eu

#thatsmyway video competition

By supporting the #thatsmyway video competition, MoneyGram would like to hear the story of Africans in Germany and would like to acknowledge the diversity of the “African way of life”. Africans who are interested in telling their story in a short video message should upload it on www.afrikaporta.eu. A voting process will determine the winner. The winner will be awarded with a free return flight to an African country of their choice.
